Central Park is a strategic site and an innovation hub that supports the growth and development of local companies. Key target sectors include biologics, pharmaceutical research and digital. Central Park is already home to the Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) and its £38million National Biologics Manufacturing Centre and Teesside University’s National Horizons Centre. CPI’s planned expansion of its offering at Central Park includes the proposed new Healthcare Futures Centre, a flexible technology centre for the development of revolutionary technologies.
Central Park is Darlington’s flagship regeneration scheme. It is a 30-hectare site that benefits from some of the best connectivity in Tees Valley. It is adjacent to the East Coast Main Line, offering direct rail links with London in under two and half hours and Edinburgh in less than two hours. It also has great access to the A66 for east-west connectivity and the A1(M) for north-south strategic access.
