Our experienced Business Investment team provides information, advice and support to enable businesses to make the best decisions.

We work with investors to understand their project parameters and identify the key risks associated with the project. We can provide advice and assistance to help mitigate those risks and our aim is to find solutions to reduce the capital and operational expenditure for potential investors.

Practical Advice and Support

The team can advise on funding streams to support capital investment and make introductions to our network, including strong connections with UK Government, cluster and innovation specialists, as well as skills development within our local universities and colleges.

Investors can also get dedicated help with practical advice and support on the best property and land for their investment; skills availability and training requirements; introductions to the local supply chain and support organisations; information on the local area and key statistics on the economy and infrastructure.

The Business Investment Team has supported many businesses to invest and grow in Tees Valley including chemical, energy, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and business and professional services companies.

Over £1.8 billion of new inward investment has been made into Tees Valley since 2011, helping to both safeguard and create over 8,500 jobs across our key economic sectors.

The Business Investment Team is actively supporting a pipeline of new private sector investment projects into Tees Valley, with further projected investments across our core industrial sectors including chemicals, metals and energy, and also within our growth sectors including digital, business and professional services, life sciences and healthcare.
